Experience
Larry Katz co-chairs the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice. For over 30 years, Larry has represented debtors and creditors, including lenders, real estate and hotel developers, business entrepreneurs, creditors' committees, bankruptcy trustees, and individuals in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations, liquidations, and out-of-court restructurings. He has served as a Chapter 11 trustee and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in preference, fraudulent conveyance and other bankruptcy court litigation. Larry also represents prospective purchasers of assets from businesses in bankruptcy. As counsel for the creditors' committee in the Howard Delivery Service, Inc. bankruptcy case, Larry was successful in obtaining a landmark decision regarding Bankruptcy Code priorities before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to joining LTB, Larry was a partner with Venable, LLP, Tucker Flyer P.C., and Zuckerman Spaeder LLP.
