Experience

Kristen Burgers divides her time between the firm's Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights practice and its Real Estate practice. Since completing a clerkship with the Hon. Robert G. Mayer of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, Kristen has represented debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 business reorganizations, workouts, and liquidations. At the same time, Kristen has also represented developers, lenders, hotel operators, and owners in a range of commercial real estate financings and dispositions.

In addition to her work with business clients, Kristen has represented numerous pro bono clients in domestic relations, estate planning, and landlord-tenant matters.

Prior to joining LTB, Kristen was a senior associate with Venable LLP in its Tysons Corner, Virginia office.
