Steve Britt leads the firm's Corporate, Technology and Business Investment Transactions practice.

Steve represents numerous domestic and international clients in the technology, government contracting, manufacturing, professional services and online media industries. He mentors companies in both start-up and expansion phases, often serving as a senior advisor on strategic legal and business issues—from capital investments and product launches to strategic partner affiliations. His government clients include subcontractors to CACI, Raytheon, BTG/Titan, Lockheed-Martin, SAIC, Pragmatics, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Having held several Federal regulatory appointments, Steve advises clients across a broad range of legal and regulatory issues. Significant representations include:

  • General Counsel to network security and information assurance software developers in classified defense and intelligence sectors;
  • General Counsel to Scottish Enterprise with regard to its 3 U.S. technology incubators;
  • General Counsel to UK metals reprocessing company;
  • General Counsel to news content aggregation and distribution company working with all major news media outlets;
  • General Counsel to W2COG Institute, Inc. (Worldwide Consortium on the Grid), a non-profit consortium of companies, organizations and government agencies involved in netcentric technology development;
  • Legal counsel to 8(a) defense contractors;
  • General Counsel to secure managed hosting company;
  • Counsel to blogging and grassroots marketing companies;
  • Counsel to senior executives in the negotiation of employment or separation agreements;
  • IP counsel to wireless ringtones and music-on-demand company.

Prior to joining LTB, Mr. Britt was a partner with Enterprise Business Law Group LLC. He also practiced with Krooth & Altman (Washington, D.C.) and with law firms in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Buchanan Ingersoll) and Los Angeles, California. Mr. Britt is a former Executive Director of the Federal Housing Finance Board, Deputy General Counsel at HUD and the U.S. Department of Energy and General Counsel of the Civil Aeronautics Board.
